Most of Adani Group stocks end in red even as markets gain for third straight day

Even as benchmark indices Sensex (114.92 points or 0.19 per cent) and Nifty (38.30 points or 0.22 per cent) settled with gains for the third straight session on Monday, most of the stocks of Adani Groups ended in red, with some of them declining as much as five per cent.

Only two of the group's stocks, Ambuja Cement (2.50 per cent) and ACC (over two per cent) ended in green.

Adani Green and Adani Transmission declined as much as five per cent, followed by Adani Wilmar, (2.46 per cen) and Adani Total Gas (2.21 per cent).

NDTV lost 2.19 per cent while Adani Enterprises lost 1.90 per cent. Adani Power (0.73 per cent) and Adani Ports (0.47 per cent) registered losses.

The poor show comes amid reports that the market regulator Sebi is probing possible violation of "related party" transaction rules in the group's dealings with at least three offshore entities linked to the brother Gautam Adani.

In the last three sessions, Sensex has risen by 1,492 points or 2.51 per cent while Nifty has gained 446 points or 2.9 per cent.
