The much-awaited launch event of the Ola Scooter, the debut electric vehicle of Ola, will be on August 15, Independence Day.
The information was revealed by Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal in a tweet on Tuesday. Aggarwal also promised details on the "full specs and details on product and availability dates" of the Ola Scooter.
Over the past several weeks, Ola and Bhavish Aggarwal have been teasing the features of the Ola Scooter. Speculative reports have estimated the new vehicle, which would mark Ola's debut into vehicle manufacturing, would be priced in the Rs 85,000-1,00,000 lakh range.
Aggarwal also tweeted an image of an Ola Scooter in pink colour on Tuesday.
In July, Aggarwal had revealed the Ola Scooter would be available in 10 colour options. The electric two-wheelers will be rolled out from the Ola Futurefactory, touted as the world’s largest two-wheeler factory, which is being built on a 500-acre site in Tamil Nadu.
