Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) on Tuesday said it has commenced bookings for the 2021 version of its Africa Twin Adventure Sports in the country.
The price of the latest version of the bike starts at Rs 15.96 lakh (ex-showroom).
With a 2-cylinder 1082.96 cc liquid-cooled engine making 73.0 kW @ 7500 rpm and 103 N-m @ 6000 rpm, the bike will have more than enough power for the highway—as well as torque for going off of it.
The Africa Twin tribe has been growing successfully in India and introduction of the latest version—The 2021 Africa Twin Adventure Sports—"will inspire many adventure seekers to explore the new destinations never taken before," HMSI Director - Sales & Marketing Yadvinder Singh Guleria said in a statement.
The bike comes with various features like wheelie control, cornering ABS with off-road setting, five-stage adjustable windscreen, adjustable seat and heated grips.
Other features include tubeless tires, dual LED headlights with daytime running lights (DRL), cornering lights that automatically illuminate corner blind spots depending on speed and lean angle and ACC charging sockets (in the Africa Twin Adventure Sports).
Cruise Control too is now fitted as standard to provide utmost comfort during long distance. A fuel tank of 24.5 litres allows the rider to go an extra mile on his adventure tour.
There is also Apple CarPlay, fitted onto a 6.5" multi Information Display (MID) which can show various levels of information relative to the riding mode chosen and is easy to use even when wearing gloves.
The bike will be sold at Honda Gold Wing outlets. It will compete with bikes like the BMW S 1000XR and 1250 GS, the Triumph Tiger 900 and Ducati Multistrada 950.
