The National Testing Agency (NTA), the autonomous body responsible for conducting entrance tests, issued an advisory to candidates appearing for NEET-UG in light of rain alerts on Sunday. The NTA has urged candidates to plan their travel accordingly so that even if the rain and thunderstorm forecasts come true, they are capable of attending the examination.
In an official communication, the NTA has asked NEET-UG aspirants to check local weather reports before leaving for their exam centres. They should start accordingly so that there is enough buffer time in case they experience unprecedented delays on the way to the exam centres. Waterlogging, roadblocks, or any other sort of commutation disruptions will not be considered a reason to entertain late entrants. The examination centres will close at 1:30 PM, and no candidate will be permitted entry thereafter under any circumstances.
"Hey future doctors, with reports of rain and thunderstorms in several parts of the country on May 3, please plan your travel carefully:
Check local weather updates before leaving.
Start early and factor in possible delays (traffic, waterlogging, etc.).
