A total of 12,58,136 candidates appeared for the exam held on January 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29 in 618 centres across 304 cities.

The examination was conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) in 13 languages—Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

How NTA score is calculated

The NTA scores are normalised scores across multi-session papers and are based on the relative performance of those who appeared for the examination in one session. The marks obtained are converted into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examinees, according to the NTA website.

After both sessions of the JEE (Main) examination for Paper 1, the rank of the candidate will be released taking into consideration the best of the two NTA scores.
