The registration for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2020 for the next academic year will be closed on October 10, 2019 as per the National Testing Agency (NTA). The NTA extended the last date for registration to 11.50pm on October 10, and the fee can be paid till October 11.

Candidates can access the online application form for the JEE Main 2020 from the official website―jeemain.nta.nic.in. The website will provide the details of the admission process and other relevant information related to the examination.

How to apply for JEE Main registration 2020

1. Go to the official website―jeemain.nta.nic.in.

2. Click on the ‘Fill Online Application Form’ link on the homepage.

3. New candidates should register with the portal to apply; Already registered candidates may provide details such as application number, password and security pin.

4. Fill the application form.

5. Upload the scanned images of the candidate's photo and signature.

6. Make payment by Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI/PayTM.

7. After payment, candidate will be able to print the Confirmation Page.

The first JEE Main exam in 2020 will be held between January 6 and January 11 and the second exam between April 3 and April 9. The NTA will issue a separate notice for the JEE Main 2020 exam in April. However, candidates are not required to compulsorily appear in both the tests.

The results of the JEE Main 2020 will be declared on January 31, 2020 on the NTA website. Top performers in the Main exam will be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2020.

The NTA conducts the JEE twice for admissions to undergraduate (UG) courses in the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), National Institute of Technology (NITs), and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs).

The agency had recently changed the pattern of the JEE Main. The changes include a reduction in the number of questions, a new test on BPlan and five long-form questions on numerics. Candidates must check the instructions and notifications issued by the NTA thoroughly.
