Pakistan are through to the quarterfinals after their three-wicket win over Sri Lanka. The islanders were all out for 188 in 48.2 overs.

Shaheen Afridi and Suleman Shafqat scalped two and three wickets respectively, and Ali Zaryab's half century steered Pakistan to a comfortable win. Zaryab was also named player of the match.

For Sri Lanka, Jehan Daniel and Ashen Bandara put up 76 runs on a sixth-wicket partnership.

Pakistan's middle order wobbled in between after Zaryab's dismissal, but Hasan Khan and Muhammad Musa stuck to take their score past the target to 190.

Australia, in their group match against Papa New Guinea, set a mammoth score of 370, with an impressive 156 by opener Nathan McSweeney and half-centuries from captain Jason Sangha and Param Uppal.

Fast bowler Jason Ralston's figures of 7-15 contributed to destroying PNG by 311 runs as they were all out for 59 runs in 24.5 overs. Only Leke Morea made a double digit score of 20 for Papa New Guinea.

McSweeney was adjudged player of the match.
