India Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed sadness over London terror attack when a suspected terrorist mowed down pedestrians on a bridge and stabbed a police officer outside the British parliament complex at Westminster. Five, including a police officer and the attacker, were killed and 40 were injured in the attack.
On Thursday morning, India Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to micro-blogging site Twitter to condemn the attack. "Deeply saddened by the terror attack in London. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families," the prime minister tweeted. "At this difficult moment, India stands with UK in the fight against terrorism."

Late on Wednesday night, India had strongly condemned the terrorist attack in London. "India strongly condemns Westminster terrorist incident and condoles the loss of life. No place in democracies and civilised societies for terrorism," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Gopal Baglay had tweeted.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had also tweeted last night that no Indian casualties have been reported from the terror attack. "I am in constant touch with Indian High Commission in London. There is no Indian casualty reported so far," she said.
