The allegations and counter-allegations in the Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur divorce case continue even as the next hearing is scheduled to be held on February 2.
Recently, Sunjay Kapur, a Delhi-based industrialist, had filed a fresh divorce petition claiming that “Karisma was neither a good wife nor a good daughter-in-law.” According to media reports, he had also accused her of marrying him for money.
Meanwhile, Sunjay's lawyer Priya Hingorani said Karisma is "poisoning the children's minds against their father by telling them false stories."
She clarified that the fresh divorce petition was filed after the couple failed to arrive at a common ground for divorce via mutual consent. Hingorani claimed that Karisma used the couple's children—Samaira and Kiaan—to get money from Sunjay.
The lawyer said the actor was not allowing the children to meet their father and added that there were times when Samaira said she is not interested in meeting her father at all. She further said in the fresh divorce petition, Sunjay has also sought the custody of their children.
Randhir Kapoor, the actor's father, had some time ago, said Sunjay was a "third-class person".
