Key Indian equity market indices that opened higher on Monday provisionally ended the day's trade in the red.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) provisionally ended 65.58 points or 0.24 per cent down.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also ended 19.75 points or 0.24 per cent down at 8,201.05 points.
The BSE Sensex, which opened at 26,897.84 points, ended the day's trade provisionally at 26,777.45 points (at 03.36 pm), down 65.58 points or 0.24 per cent from the previous day's close at 26,843.03 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 26,901.42 points and a low of 26729.54 points in the trade so far.
