Ahmedabad, Nov 6 (PTI) An email threatening bomb blasts triggered security sweeps at the Gujarat High Court and the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) on Friday, but authorities declared the premises safe after finding no explosives, officials said.

The threatening email received at the Gujarat High Court around 11 am mentioned the office of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar, the Narendra Modi Stadium — where singer Diljit Dosanjh is scheduled to perform on November 21 — and warned of a series of blasts between November 8 and 27.

The email prompted search operations by the police, the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, and dog squads at HC and the chief minister's office, but no suspicious objects were found at either premises, Inspector K N Bhukan of Sola police station said.

The sender, claiming to be associated with the "Khalistan National Army", threatened a bomb blast at the CMO at 3.11 pm, according to a screenshot of the email provided by Bhukan.

The message also warned of explosions at various locations between November 8 and 27, as per the screenshot.

A probe has been launched to trace the sender, police said.
