Bhopal, Jul 8 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday said an Akashvani center will be started in Ujjain soon.
Yadav met Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L Murugan in Delhi during the day, an official statement said.
The CM requested Murugan to start an All India Radio center in Ujjain soon in view of Simhastha 2028, it said.
The Union minister agreed to the proposal and ordered that necessary process be started, the statement added.
Ujjain center programs could be broadcast through Akashvani Indore till the construction of Akashvani studio in Ujjain is complete, it said.
During his visit to Delhi, the chief minister also met Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and invited him to lay the foundation stone of a state-of-the-art rail coach factory of BEML Limited in Raisen district of the state.
The project entails an investment of about Rs 1800 crore.
"The Madhya Pradesh government, Railway Ministry and Defense Ministry will have a partnership in the plant," the CM was quoted as saying.

The Madhya Pradesh government has allotted about 60 hectares of land in Raisen district for the factory which will provide employment to about 1500 persons, the CM said.
Yadav also met Union Renewable Energy Minister Prahlad Joshi. Solar panels will be installed for 32 lakh farmers in the state so that they can generate their own electricity and the state is saved the subsidy burden of about Rs 18,000 crore, the statement said.
