New Delhi, Nov 5 (PTI) Realty firm Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd has purchased around 100 acres of land in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) to develop a project comprising residential plots.
The company did not disclose the deal value.
In a regulatory filing on Thursday, the company said it has signed a 100-acre plotted development in the MMR. This is the first plotted development outside Mahindra World City, Chennai.
A company official said the land has been acquired through outright purchase.
Vimalendra Singh, Chief Business Officer– Residential of Mahindra Lifespace, said, “...we look to expand into plotted development in the future in MMR, Pune and Bengaluru. Homebuyers are increasingly seeking greater flexibility and personalisation in their residential requirements. Plotted developments offer a compelling proposition through land ownership, customisation, and long-term appreciation potential."
Established in 1994, Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd's development footprint spans 53.65 million sqft (saleable area) of completed, ongoing and forthcoming residential projects across seven Indian cities.
It has over 5,000 acres of ongoing and forthcoming projects under development and management at its integrated developments and industrial clusters across four locations.
