New Delhi, Nov 4 (PTI) Alembic Pharmaceuticals on Wednesday reported an 81.46 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 335 crore for the July-September quarter of FY27, driven by strong revenue growth.

The Vadodara-headquartered company had posted a net profit (attributable to owners of the company) of Rs 184.7 crore in the year-ago period, according to a regulatory filing.

Alembic Pharma’s revenue from operations rose 36.3 per cent to Rs 2,603.48 crore, up from Rs 1,910.15 crore in Q2 FY26.

Sequentially, profit and revenue were up by 94 per cent and 21 per cent, respectively.

The company's US formulations business led the revenue growth with a rise of 77 per cent, aided by a surge in volume and new launches.

The pharma major further announced the expansion of its strategic collaboration with DifGen Pharmaceuticals (DifGen) to grow its complex generics portfolio in the US market.

The expanded collaboration combines DifGen's development and manufacturing capabilities with Alembic's established US commercial platform. DifGen will lead development, regulatory, manufacturing and supply activities, while Alembic will manufacture select products and commercialise the portfolio in the US, the company said in a release.

"Our US business delivered an exceptional performance, driven by strong volume growth and new launches, while India regained momentum as Ex-US and API continued their growth trajectories. In India Branded, improving momentum in chronic therapies is strengthening the quality of growth, while in US Branded, we are encouraged by the traction building across our existing portfolio," said Pranav Amin, Managing Director, Alembic Pharmaceuticals.

He said the company was "well positioned to sustain growth and create long-term value for all our stakeholders" after a strong first half.

Shares of Alembic Pharmaceuticals settled 12.81 per cent higher at Rs 907.20 apiece on the BSE.
