New Delhi, Nov 1 (PTI) India has matured as a market for bespoke luxury vehicles, with customers increasingly appreciating exclusive, specially curated offerings, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India Managing Director Rajan Amba said.

"I think, in that sense, India has truly arrived. We've been blessed with success over the last three years," Amba told PTI.

On Saturday, Range Rover unveiled the exclusive Range Rover SV Sawai Collection, limited to just 18 vehicles worldwide, comprising six vehicles each of the Sawai Jaipur Edition, Sawai Jodhpur Edition and Sawai Jaisalmer Edition.

According to the company, 15 out of the 18 Sawai Collection vehicles are already pre-booked for sale.

"This collection demonstrates the growing significance of India as both a luxury market and a source of creative inspiration," Amba said.

He said the company's specially curated market editions had witnessed encouraging customer response, with the number of vehicles in the collections increasing from 12 in the first year to 18 in the latest edition.

The vehicles, priced at around Rs 5 crore, demonstrate that customers were willing to pay for exclusivity and personalisation, the JLR India MD said.

Amba said JLR was looking to make bespoke personalisation more accessible through dedicated studios in its new and larger-format showrooms, besides taking personalisation kits to customers' residences and offices.

The company plans to introduce the Range Rover Electric and Range Rover Sport Electric in calendar year 2027, along with a new GT model and Jaguar, the JLR India MD said.
