Matrix Geo Solutions to conduct Narmada Parikrama survey

Bhopal, Apr 14 (PTI) Technology company Matrix Geo Solutions on Tuesday said it has received a letter of acceptance from the Madhya Pradesh government to conduct the Narmada Parikrama Survey using drones, aircraft and helicopters for state government projects.
     "The mandate is for conducting the Narmada Parikrama Survey using drones, aircraft and helicopters for state government projects. The order is valued at Rs 5,14,16,000 and is to be executed over a period of 6 months," the consultancy firm said in a statement here on Tuesday.
    Under this mandate, Matrix Geo, a geospatial technology and engineering consultancy, will deploy drones, aircraft, helicopters and advanced LiDAR systems to conduct aerial data acquisition across approximately 2,400 sq. km. of the Narmada river corridor.
    Matrix Geo has received the LoA from the Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC).
    Narmada is one of India's major river systems, originating at Amarkantak in Madhya Pradesh and flowing approximately 1,312 kilometres through Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat before meeting the Arabian Sea.
    The Narmada Parikrama holds cultural and spiritual importance and attracts thousands of devotees annually. Through this initiative, the Madhya Pradesh government aims to improve pilgrimage infrastructure, support tourism and maintain the ecological and cultural balance of the river corridor, it said.

We are honored to partner with MPSEDC in creating a future-ready digital ecosystem for the Narmada Parikrama. Our goal is to build a highly accurate, scalable, and intelligent geospatial foundation that supports both pilgrimage and policy," Amit Sharma, Whole Time Director, Matrix Geo Solutions Limited, said.
    The initiative is expected to support improved route planning, better accessibility for pilgrims, promotion of eco tourism and generation of local employment, the company said.
