Chandra Nagamallaiah's head was left in dumpster by bloody Yordanis Cobos-Martinez who carjacked a woman naked in 2017

According to the arrest affidavit, Yordanis Cobos-Martinez kicked Nagamallaiah's head twice into he parking lot and then picked it up and carried it to the trash, where he disposed of it.

During the horrible attack that was captured by CCTV cameras, the accused Yordanis Cobos-Martinez stopped and went through the pockets of Chandra Mouli “Bob” Nagamallaiah, taking his mobile phone and lanyard with a key card, Dallas police told the press. He then started attacking the victim's throat until his head was cut off.

Yordanis Cobos-Martinez has admitted to the police that he used a machete to kill Chandramouli Nagamallaiah in front of his wife and son at a motel in Old East Dallas on Wednesday morning. Following the horrible act at Downtown Suites motel, which is located just off Interstate 30 near the Tenison Golf Course, he took the victim's head to a dumpster. He was covered in the Indian-origin man’s blood while leaving the dumpster area, still carrying the murder weapon, FOX 4 said in a report. The Dallas Fire-Rescue followed him down the road until police officers arrived and took over, the report added.

U.S. media reports later confirmed that Yordanis Cobos-Martinez is of Cuban origin and has a violent criminal history. In 2017, Cobos-Martinez had reportedly carjacked a woman in California's South Lake Tahoe while he was naked. A jury convicted him in 2023 and sentenced him to a year and a half in prison. According to FOX4, he was convicted before in California, and arrested in Florida and Houston.

Earlier this year, he was released from United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody and, at the time of the murder, had an active warrant for a probation violation out of California.
