Donald Trump's close aide Sergio Gor is reportedly one of the key factors behind the ongoing feud between the US president and billionaire Elon Musk, according to reports.

Sergio Gor, who is the director of presidential personnel, spoke to his colleagues about taking revenge on Musk for humiliating him in front of other officials in the White House, reports the New York Post.

Gor pushed Trump to abruptly withdraw the nomination of Musk's close friend Jared Isaacman as NASA administrator following the SpaceX boss's exit from White House. This reportedly escalated the tensions between Musk and Trump, who started publicly calling out each other. Following this Musk called Trump's "big, beautiful bill" a "disgusting abomination". He even said that Trump was in the Esptein files and that was the actual reason the documents have not been made public.

Gor and Musk got off on the wrong foot even before Trump swore in as president for the second time in January. Musk, who was touted as the chief of the Department of Government Efficiency, questioned Gor's staff appointments during the transition and even went on to call the White House aide "sleazy".

On March 6, Musk "humiliated" Gor during a cabinet meeting over delayed staffing of the Trump administration. Following this, Gor was looking for an opportunity to give "payback" to Musk.

"He was bragging to other people that he was going to get one last shot at Elon out the door. He was going to get Elon back for making him look bad,” NY Post quoted a source as saying.

Gor would reportedly gloat to colleagues about Tesla stocks tumbling as if he was "responsible for taking the Tesla stock down."

"Elon was, like, his obsession, and he would plant a story on Elon and he would send me the link and then send me a screenshot of Tesla’s stock price with a laughing face," the outlet quoted another person as saying.

However, Gor has dimissed the allegations that he sought revenge against Musk, saying the claims about him rejoicing at Tesla shares tanking were not true.
