Commenting yet again on the Gaza 'takeover' plan, United States President Donald Trump said he is not "forcing" to depopulate but offering a "best approach".
Amid tensions between Israel and Palestinians, Trump has put forward his plan to "takeover" the Gaza Strip as a solution.
While speaking to Fox News, Trump said that he has slated a plan that works. "But I'm not forcing it," he said. He went on to say that the US would own the site later and there would be no Hamas.
Though Trump's plan was rejected by Egypt and Jordan, Israel backed him. With the plan coming into action, the pressure would be on the neighbouring countries to accommodate the displaced Palestinians.

Trump threatened to cut off foreign aid to Eygpt and Jordan if they did not agree to accept those displaced.
Why Israel unilaterally withdrew from the strip in 2005? wondered Trump while speaking to Fox News. "Somebody from Israel, I can't tell you who...decided to give it up. It's one of the bad real estate deals," said Trump hinting at former Israel PM Ariel Sharon.
Offering all US support to PM Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump said that whether they decide to rescue the remaining hostages or decide to resume fighting to "eliminate" Hamas, we will support them.
Meanwhile, Hamas on Saturday released the six living Israeli hostages. Avera Mengistu, Hisham al-Sayed, Tal Shoham, Omer Wenkert, Eliya Cohen and Omer Shem Tov have been in Hamas captivity since October 7. With this, the first batch of the hostages agreed were released by Hamas.
