In the last few days, several celebrities and known personalities lost the coveted blue tick as they refused to pay the $8 fee to be verified on the social media platform. It now looks like, Elon Musk has had some change of mind-- it seems as though he doesn't want celebrities to lose the blue tick. He is reportedly restoring verification badges to some high-profile accounts-- a move that's come after celebrities stood their ground and refused to pay for the blue tick.

Millionaire Musk had earlier tweeted that he was paying for the Blue Ticks of the accounts of LeBron James, Stephen King and William Shatner and made it seem like he is doing them a favour.

And now it looks like the blue tick is back for accounts that have one million or more subscribers. Celebrities who have said that their blue tick is back, but haven't paid for it include Twitch streamer Hasan Piker, Journalist and author Kara Swisher, former J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, and Stephen King.

Hasan Piker wrote, "I have no clue how this happened, I absolutely did not buy Twitter blue," while Kara Swisher expressed her surprise over the move and wrote, "Good lord, I’ve been LeBroned, Shatnered, Kinged without my consent. No means no, boys."

Stephen King wrote, "My Twitter account says I’ve subscribed to Twitter Blue. I haven’t. My Twitter account says I’ve given a phone number. I haven’t."
