Pakistan's cabinet led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took oath on Tuesday. The oath was administered by Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani. Earlier President Arif Alvi reportedly excused himself from administering the oaths.

Ahsan Iqbal, Rana Sanaullah, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Khurram Dastgir Khan, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Miftah Ismail, Mian Javed Latif, Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Murtaza Javed Abbasi and Azam Nazeer Tarara are among the ministers who took oath in the new cabinet.

The Ministers of State who took the oath included Dr Aisha Ghaus Pasha, Hina Rabbani Khar and Abdul Rehman Khan Kanju. The cabinet was originally scheduled to take oath at 8.30 pm local time. Last week Sanjrani administered the oath to PM Shehbaz Sharif, brother of former PM Nawaz Sharif.

Qamar Zaman Kaira, Engineer Amir Muqam and Awn Chaudhary have been appointed as advisers, Radio Pakistan reported. While Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari was touted to be the next foreign minister, his name wasn't among the names of those who took the oath.
