Pakistan PM Imran Khan, on Wednesday, urged the people of Pakistan to reach Islamabad on March 27 to show solidarity to a PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf) rally scheduled to be held on that day. He said the rally is being held to tell the world that Pakistanis “stand with the truth and are against corruption.”

"People's conscience is being auctioned...it is the duty of people now to stand against evil," Khan said, Geo TV reported. Pakistan's opposition parties are tabling a no-confidence motion against him in Parliament, accusing him of mismanaging the economy amidst spiralling inflation. In the 342-member National Assembly, the Opposition needs 272 votes to remove the prime minister, a PTI report reads.

Khan said that it was his efforts that led the United Nations to adopt a resolution to combat Islamophobia and designate March 15 as the International Day against Islamophobia. Khan said that PTI saved the country from the coronavirus and saved its economy too.

A Pakistani advocate, Chaudhry Asif Gujjar, in the meantime, has filed the petition in Islamabad High Court, demanding to prohibit the ruling party's public rally in Islamabad’s Red Zone.

Gujjar said that the blockage of the red zone would create a security issue in the country.
