Endrick, the young Brazilian talent at Real Madrid, is reportedly nearing a loan move to AS Roma in the upcoming January transfer window, driven by concerns over limited playing time under manager Jose Mourinho. AS Roma had previously expressed interest, and now with ongoing negotiations and the player's camp receptive, a deal is considered likely. This move would offer Endrick the much-needed regular minutes essential for his development and for him to be considered for the FIFA World Cup 2026, following a previous successful loan spell at Lyon where he also prioritized game time.

Endrick is almost certain to leave Real Madrid on another loan deal when the January transfer window opens, and AS Roma will be his likely destination, Italian news reports said. The 20-year-old Brazilian has so far got just four minutes under Jose Mourinho and is worried about not reaching his full potential due to a lack of playing time, the report added.

Roma had shown interest in Endrick at the beginning of the season as well, but nothing materialised as Real Madrid ultimately decided to keep him. But nothing changed as Mourinho preferred new arrival Carlos Espí over the Brazilian for late flourishes.

Italian media reports claim that AS Roma's sporting director Tony D'Amico is directly involved in the bid to bring Endrick to the capital city. The player's camp is also impressed with the project as initial communication has taken place, it added. "Contacts are said to have begun this summer, and Endrick and his father are reportedly in favor of joining the Italian capital, where he could reunite with his compatriot Wesley," *Foot Mercato* said in a report.

If worked out, this would be the second loan spell for the Brazilian after arriving in the Spanish capital from Palmeiras. Under similar circumstances, a worried Endrick had joined French side Lyon on January 1, 2026. The €1 million loan deal ran until the end of the 2025–26 season.

Endrick made 16 appearances, scoring five goals and assisting seven times. Across competitions, he played 21 games for Lyon—scoring eight goals and assisting seven times. He decided to make the move because regular playing time was mandatory ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
