Despite interest from Arsenal and Aston Villa, Michael Carrick’s team remains the front-runner to sign the Leicester City teenager

Page, a versatile left-footed midfielder comfortable in central, attacking, and defensive roles, has impressed in 22 first-team games for Leicester since signing his professional contract last year. He is considered one of the Championship's best box-to-box midfielders, known for his progressive passing, ball carrying composure, and tactical maturity beyond his years. Despite previous interest from Arsenal and Aston Villa, Page is reportedly keen on a move to Old Trafford this summer.

Manchester United's search for a third midfield signing may finally end with Leicester City's Louis Page, a new report said. The English youngster is keen on joining United and remains an affordable option this summer, it added.
Arsenal and Aston Villa were also interested in the midfielder, who is contracted to Leicester until 2029. It was only last year that the teenager signed a professional contract with the Foxes, but he has already featured in 22 first-team games for the club, reports said. The youngster is also good with set pieces, often taking corner kicks for his club as well as the England Under 20 side.
The 6 ft 1 in Page is reportedly very happy to make a switch to Old Trafford this summer. Predominantly a central midfielder, he is comfortable in attacking midfield as well as defensive midfield positions if the situation demands it. The left-footed star is included among the best box-to-box midfielders in the Championship and is excellent at progressive passing as well as switching the point of attack.
Page is highly rated for his composure while carrying the ball, along with his capability to connect the attack with the defence. Against opposition capable of quality pressing, a player like Page, who can effectively beat it instead of trying to clear the ball hesitantly, can be a great asset.
He is not afraid to get physical and possesses a tactical discipline that many reports claim is beyond his years. He knows when to hold shape to provide cover for the backline and when to burst forward into open space.
It was earlier reported that Manchester United have been tracking the Real Madrid duo of Aurélien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga. The club is on the lookout for a third midfielder after signing Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans, but is not willing to break the bank for anybody, no matter how influential or incredible the player may be. Thus, the search has become restricted to a smaller radius, with several high-profile names ruled out.
