A random post on Instagram amused Indian cricket legend, Virat Kohli, proving why he remains one of the most engaging personalities both on and off the field. 

Recently, the former India captain shared a post on his official Instagram handle about a viral claim regarding his demands for the upcoming IPL 2026 season, which is scheduled to kick off from March 28. 

The viral meme that is circulating on social media claims that Kohli demanded that the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) management arrange chartered flights for him between India and London, to which his response, posted on Instagram, quickly became a talking point among fans and cricket enthusiasts.

The post also claimed that whenever there was a gap of more than three days between two RCB matches, he wanted to fly back to London and return just before the next game. As the post gained traction, fans flooded social media with reactions.

Kohli, known for his sharp wit and straightforward nature, decided to address the situation. Taking to Instagram, he shared the post and responded with a laughing emoji, shutting down any rumors.

Fans appreciated Kohli’s candid reaction, with many praising his sense of humor and transparency. 

Meanwhile, South African cricketer AB de Villiers believes a 'squad of fighters' will relieve the pressure on Virat Kohli, giving defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru the fuel they need to go the distance in IPL 2026. He also expressed confidence that RCB are primed to be a consistent title-challenger now.

Legendary India spinner Anil Kumble said it will not be a surprise if Kohli comes up with some new shots this IPL season, PTI reported.

"Don't be surprised if he comes into this season with a different outlook, perhaps trying something like the scoop shot or the reverse scoop," Kumble said.
