Manchester United are likely to sell Marcus Rashford, Joshua Zirkzee, and Tyrell Malacia in the summer, while Casemiro and Jadon Sancho will be allowed to leave on free transfers, a new report has claimed.

With the sum raised through these sales, Manchester United are not looking to bring in replacements for those exact positions. The priority is reportedly to acquire two quality central midfielders, a left-winger, a left-back, and a centre-back.

Kobbie Mainoo, who was frustrated by the lack of chances under Ruben Amorim, is still not fully convinced that there is no reason for him to leave Old Trafford. Securing a contract extension for the young English midfielder is also an important part of the club's summer plan, as they want to build a squad of players in their early twenties.

Adam Wharton and Carlos Baleba could well be the two midfielders United focus on in the summer if the rumours about Elliot Anderson joining Manchester City are true, TEAMtalk said in a report. Nottingham Forest's Anderson has long been on United's radar, but latest reports suggest that he has already verbally sealed a deal with the club's bitter rivals. Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimarães of Newcastle United and Freiburg’s Johan Manzambi are other midfielders being considered by the club, the TEAMtalk report said.

PSG's Bradley Barcola could well be the highlight signing for the Premier League club this summer, the report added. The 23-year-old French forward, who has managed 10 goals and six assists in 36 matches so far this season, could cost around €100 million (£86 million). United are hopeful that the sale of Rashford, an academy graduate, should help them raise the sum needed to bring Barcola to the club.
