India-Pakistan matches in ICC events are the costliest games when it comes to media right. According to sources, the India-Pakistan game in T20 World Cup 2026 is valued at Rs 567 crore, which is a historical figure in itself. Whether JioHotstar and Star Sports Network can recover such a huge sum is for another day.

However, the start to the India-Pakistan game in Colombo is off to a record-breaking start on JioHotstar. After the 14-over mark of the India innings, the total concurrent views on Hotstar has already breached 210 million!! UNPRECEDENTED! Of course, such mind-boggling numbers are expected for India-Pakistan games but even then, this is sensational.

India were rattled early by the loss of Abhishek Sharma who recorde his second successive duck in this T20 World Cup. The southpaw is yet to get off the mark in the tournament. Ishan Kishan, though, appeared to be batting on a different surface altogether and produced an outrageous innings of 77 from just 40 balls.

On a surface where none of the other Indian batters could find fluency from the get-go, Kishan appeared in prime touch as he took Pakistan's bowlers to the cleaners. As the game goes deeper, we could see bigger numbers on JioHotstar and this is scary, because the start is already earth-shattering.

Currently, JioHotstar could end up with around 230-250 million views by the halfway mark itself. Then, as the game gets a lot more thrilling, the already sensational view count will undergo further expansion.
