Two former stars are preparing for a return to Real Madrid, if the latest summer transfer rumours are to be trusted. While Como midfielder Nico Paz being the first is anybody's guess, the second may raise a few eyebrows. It is VfB Stuttgart's Chema Andrés who is the second former Madridista reportedly set to make a return in the summer.

The 20-year-old Chema Andrés was included in the squad for the Club World Cup in the United States by Xabi Alonso. However, as expected, he didn't get any minutes in the star-studded Real Madrid midfield. Soon, he secured a move to the Bundesliga's VfB Stuttgart, where he was able to prove his mettle alongside Angelo Stiller.

The Spaniard left the Real youth ranks after two seasons as a key player for former gaffer Raúl's midfield. The 6-foot-2-tall, right-footed player is a good pivot for Stuttgart, and this is said to be the main reason why Los Blancos need him. Earlier, it was reported that a deal to bring him back would be around €6–7 million, a sum that should well be acceptable for the Spanish giants. Meanwhile, a fresh report has claimed that triggering the midfielder's buy-back clause would cost the club at least €13 million.

Real Madrid overhaul?

According to the latest report, the Real Madrid board is confident that both Paz and Andrés can complement each other and work together in the midfield. Both players fit into the team's natural evolution—with all factors including age, familiarity with the club, and potential for growth falling in line. Florentino Pérez has already communicated his plan to bring back the Argentine, Paz, in the summer to the club's directors as well as the player's representatives, Spain's Fichajes said in a report. The player is willing to make a switch after having proved his mettle in Serie A.

The double arrival is also being considered in light of Chelsea's interest in signing Eduardo Camavinga. A mainstay in the Real Madrid midfield, it is reported that the London side is willing to spend up to €80 million for the Frenchman.

Dani Ceballos is not trusted to start regularly, and the absence of Dani Carvajal means Federico Valverde needs to remain in the backline. These circumstances, and the pressure of falling behind Hansi Flick's Barcelona for a second time, are said to have influenced the decision to bring back the two academy graduates.
