REVEALED - Sanju Samson confesses about his FUNNIEST IPL MOMENT with Ravichandran Ashwin in #kuttistorieswithash

Ravichandran Ashwin's cricketing smarts are well-documented. His spin bowling skills are an art and he has a scientific approacch to bowling and with the bat, he is a methodical man with a reasonable technique. We know all this very well, and we also know that Ashwin has a great sense of humour that also has a good mix of sarcasm in it. The wit element is visible especially on his YouTube channel where he hosts the podcast, #kuttistorieswithash. Last Saturday (August 9), Ashwin dropped the last episode of his podcast on YouTube and it featured his former Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson.

In his own way, Samson has a great comic sense and is a laugh riot when on song. Therefore, this episode was always going to be a riveting watch. That's exactly how it turned out to be. While the major talking point on the show was going to be about Samson's rumoured link to Chennai Super Kings, there was a lot more fun elements that we didn't expect at all. One of them came when Ashwin asked Samson about the biggest banter that he had heard or received on the cricket field. To this, Samson gave a hearty laugh before proceeding to recollect the incident.

Not surprisingly, the incident also involved Ashwin and it happened during a Rajasthan Royals-Kolkata Knight Riders game in 2022. It was the game where the Knight Riders, chasing RR's daunting target of 218 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, were on course through Shreyas Iyer's incredible assault. As the game got closer, Samson spilled a very tough chance down the leg-side.

"I remember that I missed the chance and suddenly, I could hear you shouting from short fine leg," said Samson amidst breaks of laughter.

As that incident happened, a visibly frustrated Ashwin bemoaned his captain in Tamil as to how he could have let the chance go in such a big moment. Eventually, RR won the game by a slender seven-run margin thanks to Yuzvendra Chahal's five-wicket haul but Samson and Ashwin knew that the Iyer drop could have cost the team dearly.

Ashwin then went on to recollect his favourite moment which again involved Samson, as he was frantically asking his RR captain to a change a fielder's position. While they weren't exactly sure of who that player was, Samson and Ashwin felt it could have been Hetmyer. Ashwin's wordings were 'Andha saniyana anga po sollunga' which is a colloquial way of saying 'Tell that idiot to move'. Samson, unaware of what 'saniyan' is, said the same to Hetmyer in a moment of instinct.

The hilarious part of this conversation lies in how Samson imitates the whole event, including Hetmyer's body language and it was hilarious to say the least. Check out the video to get the ultimate entertainment.
