Sadly, for the skipper he missed and ended up edging the ball sky-high towards Travis Head at cover-point. What followed was a moment of athletic fielding as the Australian opener pulled off a stunning catch -- arguably the best of the tournament.
Rohit Sharma, flamboyant as usual, made 47 poff 31 deliveries before being dismissed off a tempting delivery by off-spinner Maxwell. The Indian skipper ensured India's run rate didn't fall in the first 10 overs despite his partner Shubman Gill being dismissed early for just 4 runs of 7 balls.
