Former India skipper Mohammed Azharuddin had a lucky escape today when his vehicle met with an accident in Rajasthan while he was travelling to Ranthambore with his family.

The accident, reportedly, happened on the Lalsot-Kota highway. Azharuddin managed to escape unhurt, while one of the passengers suffered a minor injury. They were later taken to the hotel in another car.

He took to Twitter to thank everybody for their concern and prayers and informed his fans that he was fine.

The Hyderabad Cricket Association president was in Ahmedabad last week for the BCCI AGM.

Azharuddin represented India in 99 Test matches and captained India in three ICC World Cups from 1992 to 1999, leading the team to the semifinal in the 1996 edition.
