One of the few positives in the coronavirus pandemic that has gripped the world, is that people are finding time for their near and dear ones, while in home quarantine.

For instance, the Indian cricketers, who have a packed schedule all year long, seem to be using this time to catch up with their families. From Shikhar Dhawan to Pandya brothers, all seem to be trying to keep their spirits up in these troubled times. Some like Mohammed Shami, Harmanpreet Kaur and Shreyas Iyer are having a gala time with their pets, as evident from their videos on social media.

One such cute video was posted by Rohit Sharma on Instagram, on the day of Janta Curfew – a 14-hour lock-down call by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the country on March 22. The India opener is seen giving his little daughter Samaira batting lessons in their living room!

Sharma has been quite active on social media in the past few days, taking a dig at ICC for a poll on the best player of hook shot, which did not feature him. He had also posted a message on Instagram saying 'Mother Earth' has found a way to heal itself. “Through these extremely difficult and dangerous times, Mother Earth has found a way to heal. Our planet has shown us what a difference a lifestyle change can make even in a short amount of time. We always wondered if it was too late to combat climate change but Mother Earth has shown us that we can reverse it and help her heal if we all do it together,” he wrote.

With the IPL 2020 having been postponed to April 15, the cricketers are enjoying an unexpected break. But, with lock-down being announced in several states because of the ever-increasing COVID-19 cases in the country, and the visa ban on foreigners, chances are that the IPL will be postponed even further, if not cancelled completely.

Eight people have died in India because of COVID-19, and 468 have been tested positive for it so far.
