India captain Virat Kohli sure has a way with the bat. And from the handwritten note heaping praises on Kerala, he has shown that he has a way with words, too.

The Indian and West Indies teams reached Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday and were given a grand welcome at the Leela-Raviz hotel in Kovalam in the capital city. Both the BCCI and the West Indies board expressed their gratitude on Twitter.

Kohli, meanwhile, left a handwritten note using hotel stationery praising the beauty and energy of Kerala. He wrote that being in God's Own Country is nothing short of bliss for the cricketer and he loves the energy that the place offers. He further wrote that he would recommend everyone to visit Kerala as its beauty is something that should be experienced, and that he feels happy every time he comes to Kerala.

The note was shared on Twitter from the official account of Kerala Tourism.

Fresh off three consecutive centuries in the first three matches of the ODI series against West Indies, Kohli will look to continue his batting exploits in the final ODI in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday. The city last hosted a One Day International three decades ago in 1988, incidentally against West Indies, when Vivian Richards's team defeated India led by Kapil Dev.

India and West Indies are set to play the final ODI in the five-match series in the Greenfield Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. India are leading 2-1, with one game ending in a tie.
