Indian tennis player Sania Mirza and former Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik are set to become parents.
Taking to Twitter, Mirza announced the arrival of "Baby Mirza Malik".
While speaking at a panel discussion on 'Gender Bias' in the ongoing Goa Fest 2018 on April 8, Mirza had said that her child's surname will be 'Mirza Malik'.
She expressed her wish to take her family name—Mirza—forward.
Mirza further said Malik "wants a daughter".
On April 12, 2010, she married Malik in a traditional Hyderabadi Muslim wedding ceremony at the Taj Krishna Hotel in Hyderabad, followed by a Pakistani wedding customs for a mahr of Rs 6.1 million.
Mirza won six Grand Slam in her 15 years of professional career.
