The launch of OnePlus 6 may be on May 16, but a new teaser featuring Amitabh Bachchan has revealed two colour variants for the upcoming smartphone. The OnePlus 6 was featured in both black and White. Amitabh Bachchan who is the brand ambassador for OnePlus, posted a couple of photos on Twitter where he is seen sitting with OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, both holding the two colour variants of the OnePlus 6. The tweet has now been deleted. The official launch of the OnePlus 6 will be on May 16, but, India will only get launch invites from May 17.

OnePlus has been releasing teasers for its upcoming smartphone for a while now. The latest teasers show the OnePlus 6 sporting a glass back, like many of its competitors. This could mean the upcoming smartphone could feature wireless charging capabilities. The photographs  also clearly show dual cameras embedded into the back of the phone, right below which is what seems to be a fingerprint sensor, and the OnePlus logo.

The cameras are placed vertically at the centre, which is a significant deviation from OnePlus' previous designs which featured horizontally aligned dual cameras at the top left. If the fingerprint sensor is at the back, the OnePlus 6 very likely features facial recognition software, and perhaps even a retina scanner, which has been missing from previous flagship models. The body seems to be slightly curved for better ergonomics. Like most other top of the line models, the One Plus 6 will have a bezel-less approach, with a 'notch' for the sensors and the front camera.

The OnePlus 6 is expected to run on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo and sport the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor. For it to match up to its competition, a minimum 6GB RAM and a 64 GB expandable memory are in order. One plus has also confirmed an 8GB/128GB variant. The smartphone will probably have a  3.5 mm headphone jack at the bottom along with a USB type-C port.

Like its predecessors the OnePlus 6 is expected to enter the market at a significantly lower price tag than competitors like the iPhone X and the Samsung Galaxy S9. Add to that the exclusivity that the One Plus brand is built on, and we may well see the birth of a winner on May 17.
