A report by Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA)’s 2024–25 Itqan inspection, which assessed 86 schools across 10 curricula under annual fees of less than AED 35,000, has revealed that five schools came under the “Very Good” category and 53 came under the “Good” category.  Interestingly, none of them came under the “Weak” or “Very Weak” category.

This is a vast improvement since 2018, considering that just one school was rated “Very Good” and seven “Good” in that year.

The list of the most affordable top-rated schools in Sharjah includes: Gems Millennium Private School, Al Ansar International Private School, Al Marifa International Private School (American), Al Rushed American Private School,  Ambassador School, Amity Private School, Delhi Private School, Our Own English High School - B1, Our Own English High School and Rosary School.

In 2025, the evaluation took place in two waves: from November 4  to 28, 2024, and then again from January 20 to February 20, 2025. The inspection had then revealed that five schools had climbed to the “Very Good” category while 53 held strong at “Good.” Also, 28 schools were marked “Acceptable” while no schools were classified as “Weak” or “Very Weak” last year too.  

According to the SPEA, this programme is more than an evaluation tool—it’s a roadmap for growth which guides schools not only to meet standards but to continually strive for excellence.

“The surveys from parents, students, and teachers give us honest feedback. They tell us what’s working and what still needs attention. That insight is invaluable,”  Ali Al-Hosani, Director General of SPEA, said during the 2025 inspection.
