The UAE and Kuwait have officially launched an electronic system for sharing the details and fingerprints of deported individuals.
The initiative is part of a joint security cooperation agreement. Under this system, individuals deported from Kuwait will not be able to enter the UAE, and vice versa. The project has been implemented by strengthening security coordination between the relevant agencies in both countries.

This measure will prevent individuals who were deported for major criminal offences or residency law violations from re-entering through the borders of other countries. The move also aims to regulate the number of expatriates and enforce stricter immigration laws.
By linking the traffic systems of both countries, authorities will also be able to track down those who attempt to escape unpaid traffic fines by crossing into another country.
Since the deporting country will share fingerprints and other key details of offenders with member states, the system is designed to prevent individuals with fake travel documents from entering other GCC countries.
At present, those deported in drug-related cases face a travel ban across GCC countries, while individuals deported for other reasons are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
