The United Arab Emirates is set to observe yet another Flag Day on November 3, marking the anniversary of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan becoming the UAE President in 2004.

The day will see citizens and expatriates raising flags at all government and private institutions at 11 am as the UAE national anthem plays in the background.

It should be noted that the UAE Flag Day is not a public holiday. November will be observed as the National Month, with nation-wide celebrations from Flag Day to Eid Al Etihad, which falls on December 2.

What to expect on UAE Flag Day?

Besides flag hoisting at homes, schools, shops and streets, UAE residents will be treated to breathtaking experiences on the day that marks a renewed commitment to the values of the union.

Global Village drone show

The Global Village will host a spectacular drone show on Flag Day. Spectators can enjoy watching hundreds of drones lighting the night sky at 9 pm. The drones will form mesmerising patterns to pay tribute to the nation and its leadership.

Flag Garden at Umm Suqeim Beach

The UAE residents can also head to the Umm Suqeim Beach near the Burj Al Arab, where a flag garden has been set up.

The "garden" will have thousands of UAE flags, which will be arranged to display aerial portraints of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

The flag garden, which was set up on October 31, will be open to visitors till January 10.
