United States President Donald Trump said that he had sent a letter to Iran's leadership seeking negotiations on the nuclear deal.
During an interview with Fox Business Network broadcast on Friday, Trump said that he hoped that Iran would agree to talk. "It's going to be a lot better for Iran," he said.
Trump added that the other alternative is, "We have to do something because you can't let another nuclear weapon."

Reportedly, the letter was addressed to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
"If Iran doesn't negotiate, it will be very ugly for them. Iran can't have nukes. Other options are avaliable," he said. Trump in the interview further said that the US is not trying to hurt Iran. "They are great people...There are two ways Iran can be handled: militarily, or you make a deal," he added.
The White House is yet to confirm on the letter.
Meanwhile, Russian deputy foreign minister Sergei Ryabkov held discussions with Iranian Ambassador Kazem Jalali on Friday regarding international efforts to resolve issues surrounding Iran's nuclear program.
