Three students were killed, and one was critically injured after a speeding BMW crashed on Mumbai’s Coastal Road early Sunday.
The accident took place around 5:20 am opposite Lala College, near Lotus Jetty.
The BMW crashed into a divider on the road and plunged about 75 feet.
The deceased were identified as Sanay Gujjar, 21, who was in the driver's seat, Aditya Jakasania, 19, and Dhairya Sheth.
Aditya Oswal, 23, sustained critical injuries and is undergoing treatment at Nari Hospital.
According to the police, Gujjar, Oswal and Sheth were BBA students at a management college in Vile Parle.

Gujjar, who is a native of Ahmedabad, was staying in Mumbai as a paying guest, The Indian Express reported.
The BMW belonged to his family, police said.
The police suspect that the car was travelling at a high speed when Gujjar, who was driving, lost control of it. The car first hit the divider wall before it crashed down 75 feet.
Meena Jagtap, senior inspector of Tardeo police station, said, “It appears that the car was travelling at a very high speed. Due to the speed, the driver lost control of the vehicle. The car hit the outer wall of the Coastal Road and then fell nearly 75 feet, killing three students and injuring another.”
The family of the deceased have been informed, and police are recording their statements.
The Mumbai Coastal Road is a 10.58 kilometre high-speed freeway connecting Marine Drive in South Mumbai to the Worli end of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link.
