In a fresh twist in the Twisha Sharma case currently being probed by the CBI, Neeraj Dubey, an alleged witness, was seen being beaten up by a group of people in public.

CCTV footage of the May 30 incident, which has since gone viral, saw 4-5 attackers—alleged to have connections with Twisha Sharma's husband, Samarth Singh—pressuring Dubey not to testify in the case.

"Why are you becoming a witness in this case," they could be heard asking him in the footage, while brutally beating him up and warning him of more consequences if he were to testify in the case, as per an NDTV Hindi report.

However, THE WEEK could not independently verify the authenticity of the CCTV footage.

This led the Katara Hills Police Station to file a case, though Dubey has claimed that no proper action was taken against the men, who he claimed were linked to Singh.

Talking to reporters after the ordeal, the alleged witness in the Twisha Sharma case has also claimed that his life was in danger and was scared of being targeted again.

Notably, Dubey was beaten outside his own parlour, Sanchi Parlor, which is located near the house of retired judge Giribala Singh—the mother-in-law of the deceased and one of the key accused in the case.

This comes just days before the CBI began efforts to recreate the May 12 death of the former actress and model at her house by taking Samarth and Giribala Singh there and questioning them further.

A dummy with a weight similar to that of the actress was also used to better recreate the events around her death.

This helped the agency develop a minute-by-minute timeline to better understand Sharma's death after she allegedly hung herself on the terrace of her marital home in Bhopal.

In their statements, her family members have alleged that she was tormented by her in-laws, who were not satisfied with the dowry paid at the time of her marriage on December 9, 2025.

Since her death, Twisha Sharma's family has made a number of other allegations about irregularities in the case, which finally led to the CBI probe into the death after the Supreme Court's intervention.
