After the arrest of Ahok Kharat, another self-proclaimed ‘god-man’, Manohar Bhosale, was arrested from Solapur in Maharashtra for financial fraud, scam and rape.
According to Solapur police, a young real estate businessman who was facing financial difficulties was approached by a stranger on April 21. The stranger told him that Manohar mama would bail him out of trouble using black magic.
The businessman was put in contact with the ‘god-man’ through a video call. To get in touch her was asked to pay about Rs 2 lakh for the ‘Aghori puja’ and was asked to give an additional Rs 50,000 to a monastery in Karmala.
However, the man in the call disconnected as soon as the money was paid.
Realising he had been scammed, the man approached the Kurduwadi police to file a complaint .
It is not the first time Manohar Bhosale has been accused of crimes. In 2021, he spent time in jail after he was accused of raping a victim who alleged that the she was lured after he promised her work in television. He was later released on bail.
Four different cases had been registered against him in Karmala and Solapur police stations by women. Cases relating to financial fraud and scams were also registered from Baramati and Daund for fraud
A case was registered by a victim from Baramati who said that he was cheated out of Rs 2 lakh 51 thousand after Bhosale promised a cure for cancer.

Manohar Bhosale is originally a resident of Lasurne village in Indapur taluk. He had failed us D.Ed examinations, after which he made a living by selling dried Bombay duck fish.
He later disappeared for a year. When he came back, he started to claims that he was the incarnation of Balumama and started a monastery in Kamala’s Undargaon . After complaints from locals, his illegal ashram was shut down.
However, he just moved his operations to Pune.
The Kuruwadi police are now conducting further investigations into the case.
