NDA constituent Indiya Jananayaka Katchi (IJK) president Ravi Pachamuthu has named the party's candidates for the upcoming Tamil Nadu assembly elections and claimed that they will be using the 'Two Leaves' symbol of the AIADMK.
Ravi Pachamuthu, in the company of his father and party founder T. R. Paarivendhar, said that the IJK's Venkatesan will contest from Pallavaram, while Saranya Anbazhagan has been fielded from the Kunnam seat.
Meanwhile, A. C. Shanmugam of the Puthiya Needhi Katchi, another NDA member, declared that his party will use the BJP's 'Lotus' in one seat and the 'Two Leaves' in the other. However, the names of the party's candidates were not immediately known.
It was earlier reported that the AIADMK was not happy with many of its smaller allies opting to use the BJP's poll symbol over its own. Tamil media reports had cited this as a major reason for the seat-sharing talks not getting done and dusted within the opposition alliance.
