Monalisa Bhosle, who became a viral sensation during the 2025 Kumbh Mela, on Wednesday married her actor boyfriend Farman Khan aka Muhammad Farman at a temple in Thiruvanathapuram.
The wedding at Arumanoor Nainar Temple was attended by CPI(M) state secretary M.V. Govindan and minister V. Sivankutty.
This comes hours after she filed a police complaint at Thampanoor police station in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday morning, claiming that her family has been forcing her to marry someone else.
Monalisa refused to go with her father Vijay Singh Bhosle to the airport and approached police. Police said they have not lodged a case and informed her father that she has the legal right to choose her life partner.
She had come to Poovar, Kerala, for the shooting of Nagamma, a Malayalam film. Farman who hails from Maharashtra is also an actor. The couple first met during the shooting of a movie but her family objected to the relationship.
Amber-eyed Monalisa went viral on the internet during the Mahakumbhmela where she came to sell garlands.
