As the BJP put up a historic show in the cash-rich Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and as Mumbai is set to have a mayor belonging to the BJP–Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), the saffron party's impressive show is being attributed to both Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Mumbai president of the BJP Ameet Bhaskar Satam.

In a recent interview, Satam had said there has been a sentiment among youngsters in the city that there has been a visible transformation in Mumbai in the past 11 years. He had listed Atal Setu, Metro corridors, and the Coastal Road as some of the important developments that the city witnessed in the past few years.
