Amid internal strife in the Karnataka Congress over the chief minister's post, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's son, Yathindra Siddaramaiah, said his father will complete the full term as the head of Karnataka government and is providing good administration in the state.
Talking to reporters, Yathindra said Siddaramaiah will complete a full five-year term as chief minister. Yathindra said the chief minister has the backing of all party legislators, and a final decision regarding cabinet rejig and change in leadership will be taken by the Congress high command.
"Whatever the high command decides is final. So it won't be right on our part to comment before the high command says anything," Yathindra said. Saying he doesn't see a situation for change, Yathindra said, "He is giving good administration. The MLAs are also in his favour. So, I don't see a need for change. But some are asking for a CM post for another person. It has to be decided by the high command. It won't be right on our part to share our opinion. Everyone will abide by the high command's decision."
