While Siddaramaiah said there were no discussions on the reshuffle, sources in Congress claimed that discussions about cabinet rejig were held.
Another senior Congress leader from the state, Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi, also said the party high command and the chief minister will decide on the reshuffle. "On Saturday, the chief minister met the party high command. Only he knows what discussion took place with the high command. The decision on the cabinet reshuffle is left to him and the party top brass," Jarkiholi told presspersons.
However, Deputy CM Shivakumar dismissed rumours about cabinet reshuffle. "There is no discussion, no question, and no one is in a hurry to do anything. The party will make whatever decision is best for the party. We are only aiming for 2028 (assembly polls), that's all," he said.
