Delhi Red Fort blast suspects had a second car: A red Ford EcoSport

An alert has been sounded across all police stations, posts, and border checkpoints in Delhi to trace a red Ford EcoSport car, suspected to be linked to the Red Fort blast case. 

The Delhi Police sounded the alert after the investigation into the blast revealed that the suspects, connected to the Hyundai i20 used in the explosion, were also in possession of another car, according to sources.

Several teams of the Delhi Police have been deployed to trace the car. 

Police forces in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana Police too have also been alerted to be on the lookout for the car.

Patrol and picket staff have been asked to be on high alert and be fully armed. They have been directed to report any sightings of the car and alert the authorities.

According to media reports, the registration number of the car is DL10CK0458.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police Special Cell detained a Faridabad-based car dealer in connection with the Red Fort blast case. Amit, owner of Royal Car Plaza, was taken into custody for facilitating the sale of the Hyundai i20 that was used in the Delhi Red Fort explosion, which killed 12 people and injured many others.

"Amit is being questioned. Police are trying to trace the entire chain of the vehicle's ownership and determine how it reached the suspect's hands. We are verifying who brought the car to Amit's showroom and through whom Umar un-Nabi came in contact with him," news agency PTI quoted sources as saying.
