Viswashkumar Ramesh, the lone survivor in the tragic Air India plane crash on June 12, which killed 241 people, revealed that he is a broken man, even as he admitted that his escape was a miracle.

When the London-bound Boeing 787 Dreamliner came down seconds after the take-off from the Ahmedabad airport, 40-year-old Ramesh, an Indian-origin British citizen, was the only passenger who walked away alive. His brother Ajay was among the 241 others on board who died in the crash, along with 19 persons on the ground.

Ramesh, who is struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), has been unable to even talk to his wife and son.

He said his brother, who died in the Boeing 787 flight crash, was his "backbone."

"Now I am alone. I just sit in my room alone, not talking with my wife, my son. I just like to be alone in my house," he has been quoted as saying.

Speaking to the media for the first time, he said it has been extremely difficult for him after the accident, both physically and mentally.

Rames, who has pain on his leg, shoulder, knee and back and finds it even difficult to walk, said his mother too has not been able to talk.

"I am not talking to anyone else. I do not like to talk with anyone else. I can't talk about much. I am thinking all night, I am suffering mentally. Every day is painful for the whole family," he said.
