The relatives of the Satara government doctor who allegedly died by suicide charged that the victim's phone has been tampered with. The relatives charged that key data was erased from the victim's phone using her fingerprint.

The victim doctor, who was found dead in Satara last week, allegedly died by suicide, leaving a suicide note on her palms. The doctor accused Maharashtra police sub-inspector Gopal Badane of raping her on multiple occasions. She also accused  Prashant Bankar, a software engineer, of mentally harassing her. Police have arrested both accused in the case.

The relatives of the woman doctor alleged someone used her fingerprint to unlock her phone after her death and erased vital information from it. They alleged that the 'last seen' status on the deceased doctor's WhatsApp account showed activity even after her death, raising questions about whether someone else used the device after her death.

The 28-year-old doctor, hailing from Beed district of central Maharashtra, was posted at a government hospital in Satara. "We suspect that her mobile phone was tampered with after her death. Before we arrived at the spot, someone had used her fingerprint to unlock the phone and erased vital information related to the incident. Her WhatsApp 'last seen' status appears to show activity after her death, which raises further suspicion that the phone was operated by someone else after her death," the victim's uncle charged.

Residents of Wadwani in Beed observed a bandh on Tuesday, demanding a probe by a special investigation team (SIT) into the alleged suicide of a woman doctor who hailed from the region, PTI reported. The victim's family have also demanded that the case should be heard in a court in Beed to ensure an impartial investigation.
